In May of 2004, David B. Mueller noticed a box turtle on the street near his home. Mueller was concerned that the turtle might get run over by a car. Mueller has cared for the turtle ever since. Mueller named the turtle "Sunny" because he has patterns on his shell that look like paintings of the sun. After reading about turtles (actually, Sunny is a tortoise), Mueller determined that Sunny was a male box turtle and is now probably about 14 years old. See a video clip of Sunny from David B.
